A difference was made at the Casa Vida Nueva para Niños in Nogales Mexico. Diana Miller and Norma Baker (pictured) were among a small group of Green Valley folks who helped the children make and decorate banners to be used in their rooms at the home. This was a hands-on educational experience which is part of the ongoing RISE program which sponsors children’s education beyond eighth grade in Mexico. The girls pictured are modeling pillowcase dresses or tops that were made by DHLC ladies also. 45 children participated in the banner crafts.
