Casa Vida Nueva Para Niños A.C. (CVN) translates to ‘New Life Home for Children’. It is a home for children, many of whom have been abandoned or abused. The home is located in a very rural, rustic area about 20 miles southwest of the boarder in Nogales, Sonora, Mexico. CVN was envisioned in 2007 and opened in August 2012 with major financial support from New Life Church of God in Tucson, AZ. CVN is administered by New Life Church of God which continues to financially support CVN on a monthly basis.

The administration and funding only covers the running of CVN on a day to day basis and currently does not cover higher educational costs. RISE Scholastic Achievements, Inc. was created to add the needed higher educational funding for CVN.

CVN’s PURPOSE:

To provide a safe place to call home for boys & girls (ages range from 1 – 18) many of whom have been abused and then abandoned by their parents. Left alone, they would have added to the sad statistics of abandoned youth in Sonora, Mexico. Currently they have 50 children.

CVN’s GOAL:

To become a home for up to 100 children that is a national model; decrease abandonment and abuse of children; support abandoned children in a comprehensive recovery process of physical, emotional, and spiritual growth; instill in them a character of high integrity which will help them develop into adults that are free of abuse and violence; and provide them with tools to integrate into society as healthy adults.

“I witnessed the happiest, most polite, well behaved group of children I have ever met. All are grateful for the place they now call home.”

THEIR NEED IS GREAT

Food, medical, living, and school items for the children of CVN are mostly supplied thru donations.  Their primary financial need is to finish the upstairs “common area” so the children will have a place to go and relax, watch TV or study. Its design is much like a college dorm common area.  New bathrooms are under construction as are more dorm rooms. They need furniture, couches, chest of drawers (for bedrooms). Their secondary needs are: plastic dishware sets; micro wave; LED light bulbs.
