Educational Empowerment For The Children Of Casa Vida Nueva
Casa Vida Nueva Para Niños, A.C. (CVN) in Nogales, Sonora Mexico is a loving and safe home for boys & girls (ages vary from 1 – 18) many of whom have been abused or abandoned. The home is located in a very rural, rustic area about 20 miles southwest of the boarder in Nogales.
Without the stability of this “new life”, these children would melt into the shadowy despair of abandoned youth in the US/Mexico border region. Currently, 50 children live at CVN and its capacity is expected to grow to 100. For the first time in their fragile lives, these kids can see a path to a bright future.
RISE Scholastic Achievements Supports Their Education
CVN embraces an environment that encourages the value of education and continued learning. However, the Mexican government only guarantees educational funding through the 8th grade. Parents or guardians then must cover the costs for higher education. RISE was created to ensure that these exceptional children, who have already overcome so much, have a sustainable source of funding to enable them to pursue their education.
