This trip was special!
30 people witnessed the joy each child had when they received their very own, hard cover book written in Spanish with their name in it. Cal Judson (DHLC) created a program called “Give a Kid a Book” and coordinated the entire event. When a child’s name was called they were handed their very own book. After the each child received their book, a group photo was taken and then they went out to the audience and hugged / thanked each visitor.
The visitors also received an overview of the Home, a RISE Scholastic Achievement presentation; a tour of the facility; and lunch with the children. It was another great day to share the love of Jesus Christ with these children. Thank you all for your love and generosity you have given to these deserving children.
The next trip is scheduled for September 14.
