Wow! What a trip – best ever!
December 8, 2018 Christmas Trip to the Home for Children
Santa calls up each child to give them their gift.
I wanted to share with everyone the joy and blessings the children and guests received during this Christmas trip. After arriving, we received an overview of the home and RISE Scholastic Achievements. Then all 42 children were introduced; with the girls performing three dance routines. Next we took a tour of the facility; followed by lunch.
Then everyone went back into the Hall where they waited patiently for the surprise guest: “Santa Claus!” Imagine the surprise of these children – (most have been abused and abandoned) – seeing Santa for the first time and then sitting on his lap as he gave them their presents – tears of joy were everywhere. A big hit was the personalized Christmas Cards.
Our trip back home only had a 25 minute wait at the border – fastest crossing ever. It was a great day to share the love of Jesus Christ with these children. Thank you all for your love and generosity you gave for these deserving children.
