On February 9, 2019 the Mission Committee sponsored a breakfast for Casa Vida Nueva para Niños. 132 people attended which included 13 people from New Life Church of God in Tucson AZ and 8 people from Home for Children (6 of which were children). Donations of toilet paper, paper towels and cleaning supplies were given to the Home. The kitchen staff needs special recognition for their super support – see photo. After breakfast, Reed Olson gave an overview showing the past 4 years of support from Valley Presbyterian Church and the Green Valley community, and an update on RISE Scholastic Achievements. Next Elias & Myrna Herrera, Directors of the Home, gave their overview with a video. A special “Happy Birthday” cake was given to Myrna. Thank you all for attending and showing your love and support for these children. Next event is the March 23rd trip to the Home – which is already filled up.
