September 2018, the Sewing Bee ladies from Desert Hills Lutheran Church in Green Valley AZ had the pleasure of creating a special quilt for Diana Leslie Nava Martinez, a student at Casa Vida Nueva Para Niños Orphanage, Sonora Mexico, who is advancing her education under the Rise Scholastic Achievement Program sponsored in part by DHLC.
Thanks to Mary Braswell for creating a personalized label to honor Diana for this big step in her education. Mary Olson presented the quilt to Diana on behalf of the DHLC Sewing Bee.
